Please note – Around the World 1 is a COMPILATION album, made up of twenty-one world tracks hand picked from other albums, including: Africa, Appalachian: Folk & Bluegrass, Asia, Celtic and Latin.

This is our first world / ethnic compilation, and we’ve put this compilation together to give you the widest possible variety of music from all around the world. As you listen through Around the World 1, you’ll discover an assortment of some of our finest folk, eastern, African and Latin tracks. Check out the lively and driving Quest to Africa, with its exciting African percussion, traditional kalimba and tribal vocal chants. French Street Musicians is just that – and authentic recording of a Parisian accordion trio.

In Dublins Fair City

In Dublins Fair City is a traditional Irish pub song also known as -Cockles and Mussels-. Telling the story of Molly Malone, this lively and charming Irish track has been sung in many an Irish pub over the decades, even centuries. Featuring accordion, violin, Irish flute (tin whistle / penny whistle), piano and acoustic guitars.

Lanagan’s Ball

A beautiful and flowing flute melody soars above a droning pad, entering a steel stringed acoustic guitar picking beautifully against the chord progression. Authentic sounding Irish music with an expansive sound; bright and flowing music consisting of just three melodic elements. As the tune progresses, a light hand percussion groove flows against a fretless bass beneath the building Celtic soundscape.

Lovely Leitrim

Congas, drumkit, guitar and piano add a new twist to this traditional Irish folk song originally written by Phil Fitzpatrick in the early 1900s.
